Coordinated aviation and artillery: Russian spy detained in Pokrovsky direction

The SBU detained a Russian intelligence agent who was spying on the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsky direction and coordinating the work of the occupiers’ aviation and artillery.

This was reported by the press service of the SBU.

The agent’s task was to patrol Pokrovsk and the surrounding area, photographing Ukrainian positions. The Russians were most interested in the coordinates of fortified areas, command posts, and ammunition depots.

The SBU detected the attacker early. He turned out to be a 34-year-old electrician from neighboring Myrnograd.

To recruit an agent, the Russian GRU involved his classmate, who is fighting against Ukraine.

“Law enforcement officers documented the attacker’s contacts with the “liaison officer” of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and detained him. They also secured the locations of the defenders of Pokrovsk,” the report says.

During the searches, the agent’s phone with an anonymous chat, where he coordinated his actions with the occupiers, was seized.

He was charged under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason committed under martial law.

By the way, the SBU detained a Russian agent who was preparing a breakthrough for an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group in the Sumy region.

As a reminder, in the ranks of the Defense Forces , the Security Service exposed a serviceman who worked for Russian special services and shared information about fellow soldiers with the enemy.

As reported, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed and detained an FSB agent who served in the National Guard assault brigade. The operation took place in Kharkiv with the assistance of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the NGU command.
