Corrected Russian strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions: agent exposed in Donetsk region
The Security Service of Ukraine detained a man who was adjusting strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
According to the investigation, the recruit was a local unemployed man. He came to the attention of Russian special services through his friend, who lives in the Russian Federation and cooperates with the FSB.
After recruitment, the man underwent detailed briefing and began monitoring Ukrainian artillery positions, the location of fortifications, and mobile fire groups protecting the frontline community.
To do this, the attacker walked around the territory and marked the necessary locations on the map.
He stored the collected data on his phone for later transmission to curators.
Law enforcement officers managed to detain the suspect in a timely manner. During the search, a phone containing evidence of illegal activity was seized from him.
Security Service investigators informed the agent of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — high treason committed under martial law.
The perpetrator is currently being held without bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Earlier , “Pryamiy” reported that the SBU detained a woman who helped the Russians collect information about the work of Ukrainian air defense during the attacks on Kyiv. According to the investigation, she was involved in the massive shelling of the capital on May 24 and was preparing new attacks.
The SBU also detained an FSB agent in Dnipro who was collecting and passing on coordinates of Ukrainian military facilities and air defense systems to the Russian special service. According to the investigation, he was coordinating shelling of the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava regions.
