The Security Service of Ukraine detained a minor recruited Russian agent who was coordinating enemy strikes in the Kharkiv region.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
The SBU military counterintelligence has detained another resident of the region recruited by the enemy in the Kharkiv region. He turned out to be a 16-year-old boy, a student at a local school, who corrected enemy strikes in the Chuhuyiv and Lozov districts.
According to the investigation, the guy came to the attention of enemy intelligence services when he was looking for “easy money” in Telegram channels.
Then he was offered to “earn some extra money” by correcting enemy attacks in the region.
Later, the guy received a task: to detect anti-aircraft missile systems and radar stations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on which Russian troops were preparing a new series of attacks.
To do this, the teenager traveled around the territory on a moped, took videos and photos, and marked the coordinates of the Ukrainian air defense on Google Maps.
It is known that when he was unable to photograph the required object, he recorded voice messages to his superiors and described the target’s location in detail.
To avoid detection, the guy used a cipher in his correspondence with the curators. Their dialogues began with code words that were agreed upon in advance.
It was established that his next task was to install a disguised telephone camera on a main highway with remote access for the enemy.
In this way, the Russian special services hoped to track the time and approximate number of Ukrainian armored columns moving towards the front line.
SBU officers detained the guy “red-handed” when he was photographing military equipment of the Defense Forces.
During his detention, a smartphone with evidence of his work in the Russian Federation was found on him.
In particular, the detainee is charged with Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The perpetrator is being held without bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Previously, “Pryamiy” reported that the SBU detained a Russian agent who was coordinating one of the largest air attacks by the Russian Federation on Kyiv on the night of May 24.
