Viktor Bobyrenko, an expert at the Bureau of Policy Analysis, expressed sharp criticism of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his “new young team” due to another corruption scandal, because despite the change of personnel in the Ministry of Defense and other departments, schemes to launder public funds continue to operate.

Commenting on the embezzlement of 2 billion hryvnias in the energy sector, the studio guest emphasized the personal responsibility of the state leadership for the lack of investigations and comments.

“I suspect that Zelensky is in the subject and in the fate. This is my bold assumption,” Bobyrenko noted, recalling the president’s former associates, such as Bakanov and Mindich, who also appeared in dubious cases.

At the same time, he expressed indignation that while ordinary citizens donate their last funds to the needs of the army, officials allow losses equal to half of the annual budget of a large city.

According to Bobyrenko, the sum of 2 billion hryvnia is critical for a warring country. He compared these losses to the budget of Sumy, which is 3.5 billion hryvnia.

At the same time, he added, the lack of reaction from the supervisory boards and the Ministry of Economy, which promised to reboot the management system of state-owned enterprises a few months ago, only strengthens suspicions of systemic corruption, and the government’s silence on the problem indicates an attempt to wait until the public outcry subsides on its own.

We will remind, recently, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced a possible scheme with the sale of electricity to NNEGC Energoatom, as a result of which, according to him, the state company received about UAH 2 billion less , and private traders made a profit.

According to the People’s Deputy, this is about an abnormally large sale of electricity at old prices on the eve of a sharp increase in price caps, which, according to Zheleznyak, was known to a limited circle in advance.
