Court arrests prosecutor who hit woman in Kyiv

The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has chosen a measure of restraint for prosecutor Andriy Molochny, who hit a woman the day before while intoxicated.

The court remanded Molochny into custody for 60 days.

Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, who is personally representing the prosecution in the case, said he decided to lead the process to ensure transparency of the investigation.

“This event is a disgrace for the prosecutor’s office system. I am personally ashamed of such an employee. We want to prove that if someone has committed an offense, we will act decisively,” Kravchenko noted.

Let us recall that on July 20, in the Goloseevsky district of Kiev, a prosecutor’s office employee hit a woman in a pedestrian zone with a car and fled the scene.
