US President Donald Trump has publicly called on Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz, accompanying the statement with threats. He set an ultimatum and stated possible consequences in case of refusal.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day in Iran, at the same time. There’s never been anything like it!!! Open that damn strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll live in hell – just wait! Praise be to Allah,” said Donald Trump.
The day before, the US president also announced a deadline for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz.
“Iran has 48 hours left to open the Strait of Hormuz or all hell will break loose,” Donald Trump said.
The day before, US President Donald Trump said that countries affected by Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz should “take their oil” themselves.
Earlier it was reported that Iran had blocked the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf , a key route for oil supplies from the Middle East. The movement of oil tankers in the strait has been effectively halted, and ships have reduced their speed to zero.
As is known, in his first statement, the new leader of Iran emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed . According to him, this is pressure on Israel and the United States.
As a reminder, French President Emmanuel Macron announced an upcoming mission to gradually restore shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
