On the night of Sunday, March 26, temporarily occupied Crimea came under attack from drones. Explosions were heard in Sevastopol , Balaklava , and several other areas of the peninsula.

This was reported by the Atesh partisan movement and the Crimean service of Radio Liberty .

According to the movement’s agents, the active phase of the attack lasted from 9:00 PM to 1:30 AM. After that, the strikes continued in waves in different directions and concluded around 5:30 AM. During this time, intense air defense activity was recorded.

The first explosions occurred near the Kacha and Belbek military airfields. Air defense missile launches were observed beforehand, followed by powerful detonations. Explosions were also recorded near the village of Saki.

There was also a loud noise in Balaklava, where air defense systems were operating near a thermal power plant. After several missile launches, the systems reportedly switched to cannon fire.

Explosions also engulfed Sevastopol and its surrounding areas, including Fiolent, Sapun Mountain, the city center, and the Bakhchisaray district. Commuter train service on the Sevastopol-Inkerman-1 section was temporarily suspended due to damage to the overhead wire caused by the drone crash. Restoration work is currently ongoing.
