“Crimean switch off”: SBS hit over 450 power plants on the occupied peninsula

Unmanned systems forces within the framework of the “Crimean Switch Off” operation announced the destruction of 44 power plants in Crimea and in the temporarily occupied territories. In total, during the 3 months of the operation, according to the SBS, 456 power plants were destroyed in the occupied territories and in Russia.

This was announced by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Magyar” Brody.

According to him, the “Crimean Switch Off” operation lasted from July 6 to October 3, 2026.

The SBS noted that over the past 10 days, power plants in Crimea, in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhia regions, as well as one facility each in Kharkiv and Kherson regions, have been tested.

Among the facilities that, according to the SBS, were affected:

• electrical substation 500 kV “Peremoha” in the settlement of Prokhladne, Luhansk region;
• 330 kV substation “Chaykino” in Makiivka, Donetsk region;
• 330 kV substation “Pershokostyantynivka” in the Kherson region;
• 330 kV substation “Ostrovska” in Crimea;
• 330 kV substation “Zorya” in Donetsk region;
• 330 kV substation “Zakhidno-Krymskaya” in Crimea;
• 220 kV substation “Smolyanka” in Donetsk;
• 220 kV substation “Krasnoperekopsk” and 220 kV substation “Soda” in Crimea;
• Substations 110 kV “Postal GPP-1”, “Pivnichna”, “Zasyadko” and other facilities in the Donetsk region;
• a number of substations in Crimea, including “Pryvilne”, “Nyzhnohirsk”, “Slovyanske”, “Chornomorske”, “Medvedeve”, “Krasnosilska”, “Berezivka”, “Kumovo”, “Mykhailivka”, “Voinka” and “Vyshneva”;
• electrical substations in the settlements of Arapivka, Yevsug and Verkhnya Pokrovka, Luhansk region;
• electrical substations in the settlements of Andrivka, Bilmak, Druzhne, Reichenfeld and Prymorskyi Posad of Zaporizhia region;
• electrical substations in the settlements of Orekhovo, Bunge, Vesele and Myronivskyi, Donetsk region;
• electrical substation in Nova Tarasivka, Kharkiv region;
• GDS in Dmytrivka, Zaporizhia region.

According to the SBS, the 414th separate brigade of the SBS “Ptakhi Magyara”, the 412th separate brigade of the SBS “Nemesis”, the 9th separate brigade of the SBS, the 20th separate brigade of the SBS “K-2”, the 413th separate regiment of the SBS “Reid”, the 429th separate brigade of the SBS “Achilles”, the 1st separate center of the SBS, the “Phoenix” unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and the 427th separate brigade of the SBS “Rarog” participated in the operation.

By the way, on October 1 , some settlements in temporarily occupied Crimea were left without electricity after explosions . In Nizhnygorsk, they reported that an electrical substation was hit.

As a reminder, earlier the Unmanned Systems Forces reported the destruction of 38 energy facilities in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories as part of the “Crimean Switch Off” operation. Over the course of 2.5 months, the military has worked on a total of 412 energy facilities.
