Crowded checkpoints and long lines at the border: Hasidim are arriving en masse in Ukraine
Hasidim are flocking to Ukraine in droves, in particular, pilgrims have already filled the Shegyny-Medyk checkpoint.

As is known, they are heading to Uman in Cherkasy Oblast, where they will celebrate Rosh Hashanah, a holiday that symbolizes the beginning of a new year for followers of Judaism. The holiday will last three days, September 22-24.
It is expected that about 50 thousand pilgrims will arrive in Uman for the celebration this year.
Let us remind you that in September, Hasidim celebrate an important holiday – Rosh Hashanah . The center of the celebration is the city of Uman in the Cherkasy region, because it is there that the grave of the spiritual mentor of the Hasidic movement – Tzadik Nachman – is located.
