Cyberattack on Russia: GUR “puts down” fuel cards and online resources in Russia

Cyber specialists of Ukrainian military intelligence continue to celebrate the Day of the Defense Ministry in hostile cyberspace. On the morning of September 7, a large-scale DDOS attack began on the aggressor’s network infrastructure, which provides online payments for fuel in Russia, in particular the functioning of fuel cards.

This is reported by “Pryamiy” with reference to intelligence sources.

It is believed that the targets of the DDOS attack included, among others, the “advanced payment systems” platform, which is responsible for the functioning of fuel cards (Rospetrol), as well as the servers of Rostelecom and Lukoil.

According to intelligence sources, the operation caused losses to the aggressor state in the amount of 1 to 3 million US dollars.

Also on the same day, a cyberattack was carried out on the information and communication infrastructure of the telecommunications operator
services of “K-Corp”.

Ukrainian cyber experts disabled more than 700 switches and 13 servers in the company’s two data centers, completely stopping its operations.

According to the source, the operator “K-Corp” became a target of Ukrainian hackers due to the provision of telecommunications services to the Russian defense company “Kalashnikov Concern”, which has the blood of hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including women and children, on its hands.

In addition, dozens of online resources were attacked, on the main pages of which congratulations on the Day of Military Intelligence of Ukraine were published.

Ukrainian intelligence sources emphasize that the work to destroy the information and communications infrastructure of all Russian companies that contribute to the war will continue until the complete deoccupation of Ukrainian territories and the fair punishment of the aggressor.

We will remind you that cyber specialists of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked one of the largest providers that provides Internet services for Russian security forces.

Previously, Ukrainian cyber activists, in cooperation with military intelligence, successfully paralyzed the activities of one of the largest Russian drone manufacturers , the company Gaskar Integration.
