War criminals are turning diplomacy into a cynical farce. A Russian delegation — packed with sanctioned officials, military officers, and a convoy of propagandists — has already landed in the United States.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived at the hotel in a sweater emblazoned with “USSR,” while propagandist Margarita Simonyan gushed that they were served “Chicken Kyiv” on the flight.
Fifty-two representatives of the Russian state and pro-Kremlin media have flown to Alaska. The United States issued them single-entry visas despite existing sanctions.
They are already churning out pieces about a “new reset” with Washington. Their broadcasts push the line that “Trump is a strong leader who can strike a deal,” alongside the usual talking point about “the West’s fatigue with the war in Ukraine.”
Kremlin-controlled media released a staged video featuring dancers in the colors of the Russian and American flags, spliced with archival footage of U.S.–Soviet “cooperation” — all designed to create the illusion that Trump is ready to restore partnership with Moscow.
Meanwhile, Anchorage and other Alaskan cities have seen protests.
On August 14, thousands marched with Ukrainian flags and posters reading: “Alaska stands with Ukraine,” “Putin is a war criminal,” and “Ukraine and Alaska – Russian never again.”
Activists highlighted Russia’s abduction of Ukrainian children and urged U.S. authorities not to make concessions to the aggressor. Ironical slogans also rang out — among them: “I can see fascists from my house.”
The organizers of Stand-Up Alaska announced actions in at least 16 locations across the state, including marches, pickets, street performances, giant Ukrainian flag displays, and prayer vigils. Thousands are expected to take part.
Alaska, right now: a war criminal in a polo shirt marked “USSR” — and streets filled with pro-Ukrainian rallies against murderers and terrorists.
Let us remind you that on August 5, negotiations between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will take place in Anchorage, Alaska. The start is scheduled for 22:30 Kyiv time. There are serious fears in expert and political circles that the outcome of the negotiations will be a “territory exchange”, that is, in fact, the legalization of occupied Ukrainian lands by the Russian Federation. You can learn more about this event in the material of “Pryamyi”.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Alaska wearing a sweater with the words “USSR” written on it. It is also known that Putin’s propagandists will sleep on couches with screen partitions in a local stadium on the outskirts of the city before the meeting of the presidents, because the hotels cannot accommodate them.
” Pryamyi” will broadcast the course of events, in particular, in real time, they will analyze every statement of the leaders and all the details of the meeting. It was previously announced that during the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, on August 15-16, the broadcast of “Pryamyi” will continue around the clock
