On Thursday, July 10, the Main Intelligence Directorate conducted a special operation, as a result of which a section of a large gas pipeline was destroyed in the city of Langepas, Tyumen Region of the Russian Federation.
This was reported by Ukrinform, citing sources in the State Security Service.
It is known that a powerful explosion and fire broke out in the city, which led to the destruction of a section of the Russian gas pipeline, which serves the facilities of the enemy’s military-industrial complex in a number of regions, in particular in Chelyabinsk, Orenburg, and Sverdlovsk.
According to an intelligence source, the pipeline has a capacity of 2.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. Thus, given the 20-kilometer distance between the gas compressor stations, there were about 4,112,000 cubic meters of gas in the two damaged pipes.
It is noted that the amount of immediate damage due to damage to the gas pipeline is at least $1.3 million.
The GUR suggests that since the damaged pipes are located in a swampy area, the restoration and testing of the gas pipeline will take a month. And the location of the facility will complicate the work of repair crews.
In addition, this will reduce the volume of gas supplies, which will cause losses of about $76 million.
Let us recall that on the night of July 5 , a main gas pipeline, important for the Russian occupation army, exploded in the Vladivostok region of Russia.
