In the Donetsk region, in the Pokrovsky direction, Russian army soldiers are preparing for a new offensive during the “green light” period.

This was reported by the fighters of the Rubizh brigade.

As noted, during the week the enemy did not conduct active assaults due to adverse weather conditions. However, the situation in the direction remains complex and dynamic, as the occupiers seek to use the bad weather to advance.

In addition, after significant losses in the autumn-winter period, the Russians are probably accumulating reserves and preparing a new spring offensive.

“The occupiers are preparing reserves for an offensive during the “green season,” hoping to move covertly from our drones in dense vegetation,” the military explained.

The enemy is also resorting to blowing up dams in nearby territories. In this way, the Russians plan to flood the defensive lines and positions of Ukrainian defenders, as well as complicate logistics and make it impossible to quickly maneuver when repelling attacks.

“Units of the Rubizh Brigade are adapting to changing circumstances and continue to strengthen defensive positions, despite the enemy’s attempts to change the landscape in its favor,” the fighters assured.

It was previously reported that the Russian occupation forces have intensified their attempts to capture Pokrovsk and Mirnograd. Ukrainian units are countering these actions and strengthening their defenses.

As is known, the Russians have increased pressure from Kotlyne and Rodynske and are operating in small assault groups. Ukrainian units are conducting aerial reconnaissance, mining potential routes of advance, and destroying enemy groups on the approaches.
