In recent days, in various regions of the country, “Shaheeds” that survived the fall have exploded some time after the fall.
This was announced by Advisor to the Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Serhiy (Flash) Beskrestnov.
One such incident occurred in Cherkasy region, where five people died. These were local residents who approached the site of the drone crash out of curiosity.
“The causes of such explosions are still unknown,” Beskrestnov noted.
He called on law enforcement officers and rescuers to pay attention to these cases, and for citizens to stay away from drone wreckage.
Even if the drone has already crashed and exploded, the remains can remain dangerous.
Recall that in Ukraine, the use of Russian drones of the “Shahed” type for dropping mines has been recorded. One drone can drop up to 8 mines at a time, which creates an additional threat to the population.
As reported, the Russian army has begun using Shahed kamikaze drones as carriers for FPV drones .
