Danger in the Carpathians: Pip Ivan was hit by a strong storm

As of 8:00 a.m. on April 3, difficult weather conditions are being recorded on Pip Ivan Mountain.

This is reported by mountain rescuers of the Carpathian region.

“On the mountain, it is cloudy, foggy, east wind up to 18 m/s, air temperature -3°C. Increased humidity causes icing of surfaces,” the Carpathian Mountain Search and Rescue Department said in a post.

Rescuers urge tourists to refrain from hiking and follow safety rules during such weather conditions.

“Currently, due to strong winds and icing, it is very dangerous to travel along mountain trails,” the department added.
