Today, February 9, at the Olympic Games in Italy, Ukrainian athletes will compete for victory in two disciplines – luge and ski jumping.

In total, Ukraine will be represented by four athletes on this day – two people in each discipline.
The first to compete will be lugers Yulianna Tunytska and Olena Smaga. Today they will have two races in single sleds: the first at 6:00 PM, and the second a little later.
In another discipline, Yevhen Marusyak and Vitaliy Kalinichenko will compete for the championship. They will compete in the main round of normal springboard jumping. Their starts are expected at 20:00 and 21:12.
It is known that on February 9, leaders in five disciplines will be determined. These are alpine skiing and skating, freestyle, snowboarding, and ski jumping.
It is worth noting that currently, Ukrainian athletes have not won any awards at the 2026 Olympic Games.
