Ukraine has already begun using its own cruise missiles, which are capable of penetrating Russian air defenses.
This is stated in the material of The Economist, NV reports .
A weapon capable of flying 50 meters above the ground with a range of 3,000 kilometers and a 1,150-kilogram warhead could take the DeepStrike campaign to the next level.
In particular, as the author of the material explained, the Flamingo, due to its low flight altitude, can deceive air defenses by constantly changing its direction of movement.
Currently, Ukraine produces two to three missiles per day, however, it is planned that production will reach seven units by the end of the month.
Their cost is $500,000 each, while the American Tomahawk missile costs four times as much, and its range is shorter than that of the Flamingo.
Ukraine has already caused significant damage to the Russian energy system through attacks on oil refineries.
“The Ukrainians are in trouble. The Russians have a problem. They can’t stop it, and the Ukrainians have no reason to slow down,” said Lawrence Friedman, a professor of military studies at King’s College London.
As you know, Ukraine has received at its disposal a new generation cruise missile called “Flamingo.” Its warhead weighs one ton.
It is worth noting that the media reported the beginning of mass production of a new generation of cruise missiles called “Flamingo” , which are capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 3,000 kilometers.
As a reminder, at the end of August , Flamingo missiles hit an FSB outpost and patrol boats in temporarily occupied Crimea.
By the way, new footage of the launch of the Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missile has been published on social networks .
