Kyiv Mourns After Russian Strike Kills Nine, Including 11-Year-Old Girl

The death toll from the Russian missile strike on Kyiv in the early hours of June 23 has risen to nine, marking one of the deadliest attacks on the capital in recent months.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko.
According to him, in the Shevchenkivskyi district—where a russian missile struck a residential building—emergency crews are working to eliminate the aftermath of the attack.
At present, nine fatalities have been confirmed in the capital, including an 11-year-old girl and her mother. At least 25 others were injured.
Tkachenko reported that over 30 structures were damaged, including 27 residential buildings and 3 educational institutions. Nearly 40 vehicles were also affected.
Specialists from the State Emergency Service and law enforcement are actively engaged in the search and rescue operation.
“This is not just a tragedy — it is an irreparable loss that makes the heartache. No words can ease such pain. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims. We stand with you in your grief,” the head of the KMVA said.
As a reminder, on the night of June 23, Kyiv was again under massive Russian attack. The enemy used both strike drones and ballistic missiles. Numerous destruction of buildings, fires, collapse of structures, and burning cars were recorded in six districts of the capital.
