Defense forces are conducting offensive operations: what is known about the situation in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions

The defense forces are conducting counteroffensive operations on the front in the Donetsk region – Pokrovsky and Dobropol directions.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the report of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky.

According to him, the occupiers focused their offensive campaign on this section of the front, however, they failed to conduct a full-fledged offensive.

Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian military is destroying Russian forces, in particular, the enemy is suffering significant losses. The Defense Forces have also replenished the exchange fund.

“Kupyansk, as well as the areas around the city – we are defending our positions, thank you to all the brigades,” the president added.

As a reminder, the Russian occupation troops advanced on four front lines in three regions, and the Defense Forces were successful in the Dobropol direction .

By the way, the situation on the front in the Kharkiv region remains difficult: the Russian occupiers have accumulated forces and set a goal of capturing Kupyansk .
