Defense forces attacked a number of Russian military facilities in Donetsk and Kursk regions: details

On May 21 and the night of May 22, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of Russian occupiers’ targets in the temporarily occupied territories and in the border areas of the Russian Federation. Among the targets struck were ammunition depots, air defense systems, command and observation posts, and enemy manpower concentration sites.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In particular, the Ukrainian military hit the Osa anti-aircraft missile system in Donetsk.

The enemy’s command and observation posts in Novopetrykivka, Donetsk region, and Tyotkino, Kursk region of the Russian Federation were also hit. The unit’s command post in the Voskresenka area of Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as a communications hub in Verkhny Tokmak-Druhi, Zaporizhia region, were also hit.

Separately, Ukrainian military personnel attacked enemy drone control points in Selydove, Malynivka, and Vesele, Donetsk region.

The defense forces also impressed:

• ammunition depot in Velyka Novoselka;
• warehouse of material and technical resources in Donetsk;
• MTZ warehouse in Rovenky, Luhansk region;
• places of concentration of manpower in the areas of Selydovoye, Ukrainka and Pokrovsk, Donetsk region;
• the place of concentration of manpower in Malynivka, Zaporizhia region;
• a place of concentration of manpower in Troebortnoye, Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.

In addition, Ukrainian military personnel struck Russian forces’ crossings across the Oskil and Bakhmutovka rivers in the areas of Golubivka, Kharkiv region, and Siversk, Donetsk region.

By the way, on the night of May 22, the Russian city of Yaroslavl came under a large-scale drone attack . Sirens and a series of powerful explosions were heard in the city, which were heard by residents of different districts.

As reported the day before, explosions were heard in the area of the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region of Russia at night . After that, local residents reported a fire and thick smoke near the plant.
