Defense forces destroyed Russian S-300 air defense system: eliminating the target will significantly affect the enemy’s capabilities

On Saturday, August 2, Ukrainian defense forces launched a precision strike on enemy military facilities in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia region.
This was announced by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Thus, the Defense Forces destroyed the Russian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system using fire weapons.
As explained by the General Staff, the elimination of the complex will significantly affect the enemy’s long-range fire capabilities. In particular, it will reduce the ability to attack Defense Forces positions and civilian infrastructure in the region.
“This strike once again confirms the effectiveness and accuracy of Ukrainian units in detecting and striking critically important enemy targets, including in temporarily occupied territories,” the report says.
The press service emphasized that the defenders of Ukraine continue to destroy key elements of the enemy’s military potential, which weakens its ability to conduct combat operations and hold occupied territories.
“Ukraine will continue the struggle until the complete withdrawal of Russian occupation troops, the restoration of territorial integrity, and the establishment of a just and lasting peace,” the General Staff concluded.
Recall that earlier, Ukrainian intelligence officers discovered and destroyed three Russian air defense systems deployed in the temporarily occupied territory.
By the way, the Ukrainian military managed to destroy the Russian radar “Zoopark-1M” , which the occupiers used to detect the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
