Ukrainian Forces Pull Back from Rivnopillya Amid Fierce Fighting

On the southern front, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have withdrawn from several settlements to take up more advantageous defensive positions, as intense fighting continues in the region.

This was reported by the press service of the Southern Defense Forces.

Fierce battles are currently underway in the Hulyaipole and Oleksandriv directions, where Russian forces are conducting heavy shelling.

The Defense Forces reported approximately 25 combat engagements along this section of the front. Russian occupiers have become more active around the settlements of Pryvilne, Zeleny Hai, Rivnopillya, Pavlivka, Vorone, Stepove, and Novopavlivske.

In their attempts to advance, the enemy has suffered significant losses: over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian units eliminated 58 personnel and injured nearly three dozen more.

However, due to a complex fire attack on their positions, the Defense Forces were forced to retreat to more advantageous positions in the Rivnopillya area the previous evening.

According to the press service, the Russian advance has been halted, and operations are ongoing to block it and decisively defeat the enemy.

Fierce fighting continues in other parts of these directions as well.
We will remind you that in recent days, the situation on the southern front has significantly deteriorated, as a result of which the Ukrainian military was forced to retreat from several settlements.

As is known, the Russian occupation forces have significantly expanded the “gray zone” on the front in the Zaporizhia region, which may threaten Hulyaipole.
