In the early hours of Monday, June 23, Ukraine’s Armed Forces carried out a strike on the strategically important Russian oil depot “Atlas Plant” in the Rostov region.
The General Staff confirmed the strike
The Special Operations Force, in coordination with the Missile Forces and artillery, struck the facility as part of ongoing efforts to degrade the enemy’s offensive capabilities.
According to the General Staff, the occupiers had been using the plant to supply fuel and lubricants to Russian military units operating in the temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
The target was successfully hit by Ukrainian forces, with a fire reported at the site.
Further results of the strike are currently being assessed.
“The Defense Forces continue to take all necessary measures to undermine the military and economic potential of the Russian occupiers and to compel the Russian Federation to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff stated.
Let us recall that on the night of Friday, June 6, drones attacked several regions of the Russian Federation. Thus, an oil depot in the city of Engels in the Saratov region was hit, where a large-scale fire occurred.
