Defense forces hit an important Russian military facility in Chuvashia
On the night of Saturday, July 5, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an important Russian military-industrial complex in the city of Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic.
This was reported to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is known that the Russian plant “VNIIR-Progress” was struck by the Unmanned Systems Forces along with other components of the Defense Forces.
The strike was carried out as part of efforts to reduce the enemy’s capabilities to produce precision-guided weapons.
The Ukrainian drones have targeted the facilities for the production of adaptive antenna arrays “Comet”. The enemy uses them in Shahed-type drones, Iskander-K missiles, unified guidance and correction modules (UMPK) for guided bombs, and other high-precision weapons with which it shells Ukrainian cities.
There is currently confirmation that Ukrainian weapons have achieved their targets. Other results are being determined.
“The Defense Forces continue to take all measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers and force the Russian Federation to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff concluded.
As a reminder, on July 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked a factory in the city of Sergiyev Posad, Moscow Region, where warheads for Shahed kamikaze drones are produced.
As reported, on the morning of July 1 , an explosion occurred at the Kupol enterprise in Izhevsk, Russia, which manufactures anti-aircraft missile systems and drones for the Russian army . According to sources, this was the result of an attack by long-range drones of the Security Service of Ukraine.
