Defense forces hit four Russian warships in Novorossiysk

On the night of August 12, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the Russian naval base in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Territory. According to preliminary data, four Russian warships were damaged.

According to preliminary information, two Russian frigates of project 11356, Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen, suffered varying degrees of damage as a result of the strike.

The Defense Forces also struck the small missile ship of project 21631 Buyan-M and the patrol ship of project 22160 Vasyl Bykov.

The Ukrainian military is currently clarifying information about the consequences of the attack and the extent of damage to the Russian ships.

The Defense Forces emphasized that they continue to consistently reduce Russia’s capabilities to wage war against Ukraine.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Russian naval base in Novorossiysk , the last main outpost of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea, located more than 300 kilometers from the front line.
