Ukrainian defense forces struck a key military facility in Kirov, Russia, which supplies the occupying army with components for aviation and missile technology. Ukrainian military also struck an oil facility nearly 1,350 kilometers from the state border.

This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to the head of state, the enterprise in Kirov supplies parts for aviation and missile equipment that Russia uses during massive strikes on Ukrainian cities and communities.

“Our Ukrainian Defense Forces today struck one of the important military enterprises in Kirov, Russia. It supplies components for the occupier’s aviation and missile equipment, which, in particular, is used in massive strikes on our cities and communities. Thank you to the soldiers for their accuracy! Our response is absolutely fair,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

The president also said that Ukrainian forces had successfully struck an oil facility in Russia nearly 1,350 kilometers away. In addition, an operation to destroy Russian logistics, which provides the Russian army with drone components, navigation equipment, and other equipment, is underway.

“Our long-range sanctions also worked at a distance of almost 1,350 kilometers from the oil facility. There were other damages. It is important that the operation is also ongoing against Russian logistics,” the president noted.

Zelensky thanked the military, intelligence, and the Security Service of Ukraine for the work done and emphasized that operations to destroy the enemy’s military infrastructure will continue.

As a reminder, explosions erupted in Kirov, Russia, on the morning of July 24, after which the military enterprise “AVITEC” caught fire . According to monitoring resources, FP-5 “Flamingo” cruise missiles could have been used to strike the plant, which is located approximately 1,200 km from the Ukrainian border.

In addition, on the night of July 24, drones attacked St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region, and Tver. After the explosions in the suburbs of St. Petersburg , at least two Wildberries warehouses caught fire , and about 50 flights were delayed at Pulkovo Airport due to the attack.
