Defense forces hit Orion station, drone launch sites, and Russian warehouses

On September 17 and the night of September 18, 2026, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a number of important objects of the Russian aggressor.
This was reported by the General Staff.
In particular, in the area of the settlement of Novofedorivka at the Saki airfield in Crimea, the ground control station for the Orion unmanned aerial vehicles was hit.
The department explained that “Orion” (“Inokhodets”) is a Russian MALE-class long-endurance reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicle. It is capable of staying in the air for up to 24 hours, conducting optical-electronic reconnaissance and target designation at altitudes of up to 7.5 km, and carrying guided aviation weapons with a total mass of up to 200–250 kg.
The destruction of the ground control station significantly limits the use of these systems by the occupiers in the relevant operational direction.
A place for storing, preparing, and launching strike UAVs was hit in the Donetsk region.
In addition, in Luhansk region, the destruction of an enemy ammunition depot in the Dovzhansk area, as well as a depot of material and technical equipment of the occupation forces in the Kypuchy area, was confirmed.
“Work on key enemy military targets continues,” the General Staff added.
It was previously reported that the Defense Forces hit a Su-24 aircraft in Saki, a launch site for strike drones in the Donetsk region, and other Russian targets.
