Defense forces hit Russian drilling rigs in the Caspian Sea: details of the special operation

The Ukrainian Defense Forces hit three Russian drilling rigs in the Caspian Sea, which were used to support the occupation army. An air defense unit and enemy logistical support facilities were also hit.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The General Staff noted that as part of measures to reduce the aggressor’s military-economic potential, three drilling rigs of the Lukoil corporation were hit. These are the facilities named after V. Filanovsky, Yuri Korchagin, and Valery Greifer in the Caspian Sea.

It is noted that these drilling rigs were involved in supplying the Russian occupation army. Direct hits were recorded, the extent of the damage caused is currently being clarified.

In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system launcher near the settlement of Baranycheve in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region. According to preliminary data, hits and explosions were recorded.

Also, in order to reduce the enemy’s logistical and combat capabilities, a material and technical unit from the 49th Army of the occupation forces was hit in the area of the settlement of Novotroitske in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to systematically weaken the military-economic capabilities and offensive potential of the Russian occupation forces, striking objects directly involved in the armed aggression against Ukraine.

By the way, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Zhutovsk oil depot in the Oktyabrsky district of the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation , which provided fuel to Russian troops involved in the war against Ukraine.
