Defense forces hit the infrastructure of the Kapustin Yar training ground

Defense forces struck the infrastructure of the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“During January 2026, the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out a series of successful strikes on a complex of hangar-type buildings where pre-launch preparation of medium-range intercontinental ballistic missiles at the Kapustin Yar test site in the Astrakhan region, Russian Federation, is taking place, using long-range strike weapons of Ukrainian production, in particular the FP-5 Flamingo,” the post says.

As noted in the General Staff, some of the buildings on the territory of the training ground received damage of varying degrees, one of the hangars was significantly damaged, and some of the personnel were evacuated from the territory.

As a reminder, since the evening of Wednesday, February 4, powerful explosions have been heard in several cities of the Russian Federation. Belgorod and Rostov-on-Don were under attack by drones and missiles.

As reported, agents of the partisan movement “ATESH” disabled the occupiers’ communications in St. Petersburg.
