Defense forces hit two aircraft factories in Russia

The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck two factories on Russian territory — an aircraft manufacturing plant in the Ulyanovsk region and an aircraft repair plant in the Novgorod region.

The General Staff was notified about this.

In particular, on March 16, Ukrainian units successfully struck the infrastructure of the Aviastar aircraft factory.

The enterprise specializes in the production of Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft, Il-78M-90A tanker aircraft, and also provides maintenance of An-124 “Ruslan” heavy transport aircraft.

The attack managed to hit the air-raid shelter and aircraft parking areas. Some of the Russian aircraft were damaged.

At the same time, on March 17, the Defense Forces attacked the facilities of the 123rd aircraft repair plant in the city of Staraya Russa, Novgorod Region, which is engaged in the repair and modernization of military transport aircraft and their components.

According to information received by the General Staff, a hangar for servicing Il-76 and L-410 aircraft was hit at the enterprise.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to strike important military-industrial complex facilities of the occupiers until the complete cessation of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine,” the General Staff emphasized.

As a reminder, on March 10 , a missile attack hit the Silicon plant in Bryansk, Russia , which produces electronics for Russian missiles.
