Ukrainian soldiers have increased pressure on the Pokrov direction in the Dobropillya area, forcing the Russian occupiers to disperse their own forces.
This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, following a working trip to the Donetsk region.
The Ukrainian defenders continue to liberate and clear the territories on the Dobropil salient, which forces the Russians to disperse their forces and makes it impossible to concentrate their main efforts in the Pokrovsk area.
Syrsky noted that some assault units had advanced over the past 24 hours. In total, during the Dobropil operation, the Defense Forces liberated 188 sq. km, and cleared 248.7 sq. km of enemy DRGs.
As the commander-in-chief said, during his trip to the Donetsk region, he heard reports from commanders on the current situation and urgent needs.
Key issues include securing logistics and the actions of assault groups to push the enemy out of urban areas.
Syrsky added that the army is being strengthened with additional units, weapons, and equipment, including unmanned systems.
“Combat work to destroy the occupiers continues. I thank every Ukrainian defender for their steadfastness, courage, and professionalism,” the commander-in-chief summed up.
Earlier, in the Dobropil direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted successful counteroffensives – probably three “cauldrons” for the Russians in the area of Kucherovy Yar, Volodymyrivka, and on the Razine-Novotoretske line.
As is known, during the Dobropil counter-offensive operation, the Russian army suffered significant losses – thousands of eliminated occupiers.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated the settlement of Kucheriv Yak near the city of Dobropillya in the Donetsk region.
