Defense forces leveled the front line in the Lymansky direction

The Third Army Corps and the Main Intelligence Directorate are conducting joint assault operations in the Lyman direction in the Donetsk region.

This was reported by the corps’ press service.

Thanks to the interaction, it was possible to level the line of combat contact and improve the position of the Ukrainian troops.

As noted, the actions of the Defense Forces make enemy maneuvers impossible and create opportunities for further decisions in the Lyman direction.

“Together with the GUR, we achieved operational-tactical results in the Lymansky direction. This is a continuation of the tradition since the liberation of Moshchun and the breakthrough of helicopters to Mariupol — to lend each other a fraternal shoulder. I am grateful for the exemplary cooperation,” emphasized the commander of the Third Army Corps, General Andriy Biletsky.

In addition, it is known that during the period of joint actions, the military destroyed a Russian regiment and also took a significant number of occupiers prisoner.

“This is primarily the merit of the fighters and combat commanders who find options for solving any task,” noted Viktor Torkotyuk, commander of the special unit of the GUR MO “ARTAN”.

As a reminder, the Russians recently spread information about their alleged breakthrough in the city of Lyman in the Donetsk region. However, the Ukrainian military denied it, calling it a lie from the high command of the Russian army.

As is known, on December 17, the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded 134 combat clashes in various directions, in particular, in Lymanske the enemy attacked 15 times, trying to advance near a number of settlements.
