The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations near Dobropillya in the Donetsk region despite enemy counterattacks.
This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.
He said that during a working trip to the front, he spoke with commanders of units conducting counter-sabotage operations to destroy the DRG and the occupiers who are surrounded.
In total, since the beginning of the Dobropil operation, the Defense Forces have managed to liberate 180.8 sq. km of the territory of the Donetsk region, and 212.9 sq. km from sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
In addition, Syrskyi identified problematic issues and needs for offensive units.
“Counter-sabotage measures will continue. Defense will continue to be active. Measures are also being taken to prevent the enemy from advancing in the Pokrov direction, to improve logistics, and to protect roads and critical infrastructure facilities,” the commander-in-chief concluded.
Earlier , in the Dobropil direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted successful counteroffensives – probably three “cauldrons” for the Russians in the area of Kucherovy Yar, Volodymyrivka, and on the Razine-Novotoretske line.
As is known, during the Dobropil counter-offensive operation, the Russian army suffered significant losses – thousands of eliminated occupiers.
