Ukrainian Forces Free Novoekonomichne, Deal Blow to Russian Occupiers in Donetsk

Ukrainian forces scored a victory on the front, liberating the village of Novoekonomichne in Donetsk from Russian occupiers.

This was reported by the General Staff.

According to the military department, by the end of August, the Ukrainian Defense Forces had established control over the settlement.

It took the Defense Forces two weeks to completely drive out the Russian occupiers.

“It took two weeks to gradually go through each street, step by step: setting up groups at night, identifying the enemy, conducting coordinated assaults, and clearing the area,” the General Staff explained.

As a result, on August 31, in the center of Novoekonomichne, fighters of the separate assault regiment “Skelya” raised the Ukrainian flag.

We will remind you that as a result of a successful offensive operation, fighters of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Third Army Corps knocked out the occupiers from Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region and regained control over the settlement.

As is known, earlier the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with units of the National Guard, achieved significant successes in several areas of the front over the course of two weeks, liberating at least six settlements.
