Defense forces liberated territories near Novoselivka in Donetsk region: details

The DeepState analytical project reported the advance of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Oleksandrivka direction and the liberation of territories near Novoselivka. The Ukrainian military launched a new offensive on this front in early May.

Analysts said that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have liberated the territory near Novoselivka and are conducting a sweep of Russian troops in the areas of Voronny, Sichneve, Piddubny, Tovsty, Novokhatsky, and Zeleny Gay.

According to analysts, Russian troops lost at least 46 square kilometers of territory. DeepState noted that reports of the successes of the Ukrainian military were published “in confirmation of information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

According to sources from “Ukrainska Pravda”, a new offensive by the Defense Forces in the Oleksandrivka direction began in early May. The journalists’ interlocutors confirmed the advance of the Ukrainian military, but noted that it is too early to assess the success of the operation.

At the same time, the General Staff did not officially report on the conduct of an offensive operation on this sector of the front. As of 16:00 on May 29, the General Staff stated that “since the beginning of the day, the enemy has not conducted active offensive actions” in the Oleksandrivka direction.

Let us recall that the situation for Ukrainian forces in the Velyky Burlutsk direction has improved – the Russian occupiers have actually been pressed to the state border, and over the past month they have lost two settlements.

By the way, Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky said that the next six months could be a turning point in the war against Russia. According to him, right now Ukraine has a chance to seize the initiative on the front and strengthen its positions before possible negotiations.
