Defense forces pushed back the invaders from Verbovye in Zaporizhia

Ukrainian troops pushed back the Russian occupiers from the settlement of Verbovye in Zaporizhia region, preventing them from gaining a foothold there.

This was stated by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn, Ukrinform reports .

Currently, Ukrainian fighters are in active defense in the Oleksandrivka and Hulyaipil directions, while at the same time they are conducting counterattacks and carrying out counter-sabotage measures.

“Near Verbovye, the Defense Forces of Ukraine conducted a series of actions, after which, firstly, we did not allow the enemy to establish reinforcement groups, we do not allow the enemy to conduct assault operations there,” Voloshyn noted.

According to him, in this way the Defense Forces reduced the size of the “gray zone” that was there before.

As the spokesman noted, the situation is similar in other areas of the front near settlements that are marked as a “gray zone.”

Let us recall that the Ukrainian military, taking advantage of favorable conditions, after blocking Starlink terminals and the Telegram messenger for Russians, began to conduct counterattacks in the Hulyaipil direction.
