Defense forces repelled 145 assaults by the Russian army in a day: where did the most clashes take place?

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 8 a.m. on March 2, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.

The defense forces are repelling attempts by the occupiers to improve their position and advance deeper into the territory of Ukraine, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment on various sections of the front.

In total , 145 combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours. Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck a command post, a manpower concentration area, an ammunition depot, three guns, and a UAV control post of the occupiers.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out one missile strike, using one missile, 86 air strikes, dropped 285 guided bombs. In addition, it used 8,828 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,573 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, including 46 from multiple rocket launchers.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular in the areas of the settlements of Pysantsi and Velykymykhaylivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Vozdvizhivka, Samiylivka, Holubkove, Charivne, Hulyaypilske, Lyubytske, Tersyanka, Barvinivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Komyshuvakha, Veselyanka, Malokaterynivka, Hirke, Myrne in the Zaporizhzhia region; Prydniprovske in the Kherson region.

In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, the enemy carried out four air strikes, using six aerial bombs, and carried out 141 shelling, 18 of which were using MLRS.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy tried three times to break through the defensive lines of our defenders in the Prylipka area and in the direction of Zybyny.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked three times in the direction of Pishchanye, Petropavlivka, and Hlushkivka.

The enemy attacked seven times in the Lyman direction. He tried to penetrate our defenses towards the settlements of Drobysheve, Dibrova, Lyman, and in the Zarichny area.

In the Slavyansk direction, during the past 24 hours, our defenders stopped 20 attempts by the occupiers to advance in the areas of the settlements of Yampil, Dronivka, Platonovka, Zakitne, Riznykivka and in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka.

The occupiers did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 14 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivano-Pillya, Berestok, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka and towards Illinivka and Novopavlivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 22 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and towards Bilytske.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked seven times in the areas of the settlements of Vorone, Ternove, Zlagoda, and Stepove.
In the Hulyaipil direction, there were 34 attacks by the invaders in the areas of Hulyaipil, Myrne and towards Svyatopetrivka, Zaliznychne, Dobropillya and Staroukrainka.

In the Orikhiv direction, one clash with the enemy took place near Plavni.

In the Dnieper direction, our soldiers repelled one enemy attack.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.

Ukrainian defenders continue the systematic destruction of the enemy, putting up effective resistance on all sections of the front.

It is worth adding that in total, the losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 960 people . The enemy also lost four tanks, three armored combat vehicles, 74 artillery systems, three multiple launch rocket systems, five air defense systems, 1,810 unmanned aerial vehicles, 247 vehicles and one unit of special equipment.
