Defense forces repelled 149 attacks by the Russian army: where did the most clashes take place?

Over the past 24 hours, 149 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on August 15.

The enemy launched two missile strikes with two missiles and 81 air strikes, dropping 162 guided bombs, on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements. In addition, it carried out 5,839 attacks, 88 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 5,593 kamikaze drones to destroy them.

The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Boyaro-Lezhachi, Sumy region; Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Zaporizhia region; and Lviv, Kherson region.

Over the past day, aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces have struck two areas of personnel concentration, seven artillery pieces, a command post, two ammunition depots, an electronic warfare station, and an air defense system of the Russian invaders.

Five clashes took place in the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions. The enemy launched 12 air strikes, dropped 28 guided bombs, and carried out 288 shellings, including seven from multiple rocket launcher systems.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has carried out one offensive operation near Glyboky.

In the Kupyansk direction, five attacks by the invaders took place over the past day. Defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk, Golubivka, and Zagryzove.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 20 times. He tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Ridkodub, Hrekivka, Myrne, Shandryholove, Kolodyazi, and Karpivka.

In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled nine enemy attacks over the past day. The occupier units tried to advance in the area of Hryhorivka, Verkhnokamyanskyi, Viyimka, and in the direction of Serebryanka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, two clashes were recorded in the area of Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out five attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Rusyn Yar, Oleksandr-Kalynovy, and in the direction of Pleshchiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 53 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of Popiv Yar, Poltavka, Zolotoy Kolodyaz, Nykanorivka, Mayak, Volodymyrivka, Shakhove, Rubizhne, Vilne, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Mykolaivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Promin, Kotlyne, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, Zvirovo, Udachne, Novoukrainka and in the direction of Balahan.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 21 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Tolstoy, Oleksandrograd, Maliivka, Zelene Pole, Voskresenka, Temyrivka, Novodarivka, Zeleny Hai, Myrne and in the direction of Filia, Zaporizhia, and Komyshuvakha.

Over the past day, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Hulyaipil and Orikhiv directions.

In the Dnieper direction, our soldiers repelled six enemy offensive actions.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
