Defense forces repelled 149 attacks: the fiercest fighting in the Pokrov direction

Over the past 24 hours, 149 combat clashes have been recorded on the front — Russian troops have significantly increased the intensity of strikes, massively using missiles, guided bombs, artillery, and kamikaze drones against Defense Forces positions and settlements in a number of regions of Ukraine.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 a.m. on December 31.
Yesterday, the enemy launched three missile and 58 air strikes, using three missiles and dropping 165 guided bombs, carried out 3,495 attacks, including 62 from multiple rocket launcher systems and 5,791 strikes by kamikaze drones.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular on the settlements of Velykymykhaylivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Zaliznychne, Boykove, Rizdvyanka, Vozdvizhivka, Sviatopetrivka, Zaporizhzhia, and Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces’ aviation and artillery have struck four areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, two command posts, one artillery piece, one warehouse, and one UAV control point.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, the enemy carried out three air strikes, dropping eight guided aerial bombs, and carried out 68 attacks, including two from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders eight times near the settlements of Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Starytsia, and in the direction of Izbitsky and Lyman.
Four clashes took place in the Kupyansk direction yesterday. Our defenders stopped the enemy’s assault actions in the directions of the settlements of Boguslavka, Pishchane, and Shyykivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 10 times, trying to penetrate our defenses in the areas of the settlements of Zarichne, Novoselivka, Yampil and towards the settlements of Novoserhiivka, Drobysheve, Stavky, and Druzhelyubivka.
In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped three offensive actions of the invaders in the Dronivka area and in the direction of Platonovka.
No enemy offensive actions were recorded in Kramatorsk .
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Oleksandro-Shultyny, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk and towards Kostyantynivka, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 35 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Rivne, Pokrovsk, Myrnograd, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya and towards the settlements of Sukhetske, Hryshyne and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy yesterday carried out 12 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Yalta, Sichneve, Vyshneve, Pryvillya, Zlagoda, Rybne and in the directions of Dobropillya, Oleksandrovagrad and Danylovka.
In the Hulyaipol direction, our defenders stopped 24 enemy attempts to advance in the areas of the settlements of Solodke, Hulyaipol, Bilogirya, and towards Varvarivka.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Orikhiv direction.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy made two fruitless attempts to approach the positions of Ukrainian units.
No signs of the formation of offensive groups of the aggressor were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
