Defense Forces repelled 155 attacks by the Russian army in 24 hours: which directions are the hottest?

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 10:00 p.m. on September 17, 2025 regarding the Russian invasion.

In total, 155 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. Ukrainian defenders are resolutely repelling the enemy’s attempts to advance deep into our territory, inflicting fire damage on it. Today, Russian troops launched one missile and 67 air strikes, used one missile and dropped 93 guided bombs. In addition, they involved 1,876 kamikaze drones in the strikes and carried out 3,219 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian soldiers have repelled eight assault actions of the invaders. In addition, the enemy carried out 8 air strikes, dropping 21 guided bombs, and also carried out 160 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements, 14 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units 11 times near the settlements of Vovchansk, Odradne and towards Hryhorivka and Obukhivka, four battles are ongoing.

In the Kupyansk direction, the aggressor carried out offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Borivska, Andriivka, Kindrashivka, Boguslavka and in the direction of Kupyansk. Five out of six attacks were repelled by Ukrainian soldiers, and another clash is ongoing.

In the Lymansky direction, Russian invaders attacked Defense Forces positions 15 times near the settlements of Zarichne, Stavky, Torske, Novomykhailivka, Druzhelyubivka, Shandrygolovye, Seredne, and Kolodyazi; five clashes are still ongoing.

Eleven enemy assaults were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Siverskyi direction – the occupiers tried to advance in the areas of Hryhorivka, Dronivka, Viyimka, Fedorivka and towards Yampol.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy tried five times to break through the defenses of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Predtechyne and in the direction of the settlement of Nikiforivka.

In the Torets direction, the Russians attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 13 times in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Katerynivka, Rusyn Yar, Poltavka, and towards Mykolaipyl.

In the Pokrovske direction, since the beginning of the day, the invaders have tried to advance on the positions of Ukrainian units 43 times. The enemy attacked in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Nykanorivka, Zolotiy Kolodyaz, Novoekonomichne, Zvirovo, Molodetske, Rodynske, Myrolyubivka, Promin, Novoukrainka, Novye Shakhove and in the direction of Pokrovske. In three locations, fighting has not subsided to this day.

According to preliminary data, today 160 occupiers were neutralized in this direction, 97 of them were irretrievably killed, one was taken prisoner. Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized five cars and 15 drones; two cars and two motorcycles were damaged.

In the Novopavlivske direction, the enemy tried 16 times to break through the defenses of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Tolstoy, Piddubne, Voskresenka, Komyshuvakha, Novogeorgiivka, Olhivske, and Ivanivka. One clash is ongoing.

In the Hulyaipil direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders in the area of the settlement of Poltavka. The settlements of Zaliznychne and Rizdvyanka were subjected to air strikes.

In the Orikhiv direction, with the support of aviation, the enemy attacked three times in the area of the settlement of Kamianske.

On the Dnieper direction, the enemy once tried in vain to approach the positions of our defenders in the direction of the Antonivka Bridge, and the enemy also launched an airstrike on the areas of the settlements of Antonivka and Ingulka.
