Defense forces repelled 175 Russian assaults in 24 hours, the heaviest in the Pokrovsky and Novopavlovsk directions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 08:00 on June 16, 2025 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total, 175 combat clashes took place over the past 24 hours. The enemy launched 4 missile and 54 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using 11 missiles and dropping 99 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 5,852 attacks, 67 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,081 kamikaze drones to destroy them.
Air strikes were carried out, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Petrushivka in Sumy region; Krasny Khutir, Gremyachka in Chernihiv region; Koptevo, Novopavlivka, Poltavka, Razine, Sukhyi Yar, Novopil, Tolstoy, Voskresenka, Myrne in Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Zaliznychne in Zaporizhia region; Odradokamyanka in Kherson region.
Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery have struck 22 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the Russian invaders.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy carried out offensive actions seven times near the settlements of Vovchansk, Starytsia, Kamyanka and towards Dovgeny.
There were 11 attacks by the invaders in the Kupyansk direction. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions near Golubivka, Zagryzove, Stepova Novoselivka, towards Petropavlivka and Novaya Kruglyakivka.
In the Lymansky direction, the enemy attacked 14 times, trying to advance near Kopanky, Novoyehorivka, Lypove and in the directions of Shandryholovy, Olhivka, Karpivka, Torsky and Hryhorivka.
In the Siversky direction, our defenders repelled four assaults by occupation troops near Serebryanka and Hryhorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, ten clashes were recorded near Chasovy Yar, Bila Hora, Novomarkovo, and Kurdyumivka.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 15 attacks near Toretsk, towards Rusyn Yar, Novospassky, Oleksandro-Kalynovy, and Yablunivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 46 assaults by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Malynovka, Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Oleksiivka and in the directions of Mykolaivka, Novopavlivka, Novomykolaivka and Pokrovsk.
In the Novopavlivske direction, our defenders stopped 32 enemy attempts to break through the defensive lines in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynopol, Novosilka, Vilne Pole, Novy Komar and towards Zaporizhia, Novoukrainka, Myrne, Shevchenko, Odradne, and Bahatyry.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders repelled three enemy assault actions in the Novoandreyevka area.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive operations in the Hulyaipil and Prydniprovsk directions over the past day.
In the Kursk direction, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 24 attacks by Russian invaders yesterday. In addition, the enemy carried out 12 air strikes using 25 guided bombs, as well as 233 artillery attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including nine from multiple launch rocket systems.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
Our soldiers inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and actively undermine the enemy’s offensive potential in the rear.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine updated data on the losses of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine , so in the 24 hours of June 15, the Ukrainian military destroyed 1,200 occupiers and 18 enemy artillery systems.
