Defense forces repelled 176 attacks by the invaders: where the most clashes took place

Over the past 24 hours, 176 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on July 22.

According to updated information, yesterday the enemy launched two missile strikes with 25 missiles and 74 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropped 122 guided aerial bombs, and engaged 3,832 kamikaze drones. The enemy also carried out 5,387 artillery attacks, including 56 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The enemy carried out airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Lobkove, Stepnohirsk, Primorske, and Bilenke in Zaporizhia region; Kozatske in Kherson region, and the city of Sumy.

Over the past 24 hours, the missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces have struck five areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment and two missile troops and artillery facilities of the Russian invaders.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 22 attacks by the invaders. The enemy also launched eight air strikes, using twelve guided aerial bombs, and carried out 318 shelling, five of which were from multiple rocket launchers.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy tried in vain six times to advance in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Kamyanka, Stroivka, Zapadne, and Kutkivka.

Seven attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk direction yesterday. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of Golubivka, Kupyansk, Pishchany, Zagryzovy, Zeleny Gay and towards Boguslavka.

Twenty-three combat engagements took place in the Lymansky direction. The enemy tried to advance near the settlements of Novyi Mir, Karpivka, Kolodyazi, Yampolivka, Torske and towards the settlements of Serebryanka, Seredne, Shandryholove, and Hryhorivka.

In the Siversky direction, our troops repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of Serebryanka, Verkhnyokamyansky, and Pereyzny.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy carried out six attacks in the area of Bila Hora and towards Predtechyny.

Over the past day, in the Torets direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defense units 11 times in the areas of Diliivka, Romanivka, Toretsk, Oleksandro-Kalynovye, Novospassky, and in the direction of Katerynivka and Pleshchiivka.

In the Pokrovske direction, over the past 24 hours, our defenders stopped 57 assault actions of the aggressor near the settlements of Popiv Yar, Volodymyrivka, Novotoretske, Mykolaivka, Udachne, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Zvirovo in the direction of Novoukrainka, Pokrovske, Dachny, Myrnograd, and Mayak.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 attacks by invaders in the areas of the settlements of Zirka, Piddubne, Myrne, Shevchenko, Dachne and towards the settlements of Novokhatske, Temyrivka, Oleksandrograd, Voskresenka.

There were no clashes in the Hulyaipil direction over the past day.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks in the Kamyanske area.

In the Dnieper direction, enemy units tried to advance four times – but were unsuccessful.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
