Defense forces repelled 182 attacks by the Russian army in 24 hours: which directions are the hottest?

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 08:00 on August 18, 2025 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total, 182 combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours. According to updated information, yesterday the invaders launched four missile strikes with four missiles and 80 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine, dropping 152 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they engaged 5,132 kamikaze drones for destruction and carried out 5,173 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including 73 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Krasny Khutir in Chernihiv region, Romashkove in Sumy region; Novodanylivka, Zaliznychne, Novoyakovlivka in Zaporizhia region; Olhivka, Kherson, Dniprovske in Kherson region.
Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery have struck 10 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment, three artillery pieces, and three enemy command posts.
Four clashes took place in the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day. In addition, the enemy carried out 10 air strikes, dropping 26 guided bombs, and also carried out 227 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements, including nine from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units 13 times in the Vovchansk area and in the direction of the settlements of Khatne and Odradne.
In the Kupyansk direction, 12 attacks by the invaders took place during the day. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Zapadne, Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka and in the direction of Kupyansk, Novaya Kruglyakivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 21 times, trying to advance near Hrekivka, Karpivka, Ridkodub, and Hryhorivka and towards the settlements of Drobysheve, Yampil, and Kolodyazi.
In the Siverskyi direction, in the areas of Hryhorivka, Fedorivka, and Viymka, the enemy attacked the positions of our troops five times.
Five clashes were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction, the invader attacked in the direction of the settlements of Predtechyne, Oleksandro-Shultyne, and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out nine attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Shcherbinivka and towards Oleksandro-Shultyny, Pleshchiivka, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 58 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Vilne, Novye Shakhove, Zapovedne, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Novoukrainka, Lysivka, Zvirovo, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachne and in the direction of Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Chervony Lyman, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Molodetsky.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attacked our positions 28 times in the areas of the settlements of Zeleny Gay, Tolstoy, Oleksandrograd, Voskresenka, Maliyivka, Vilne Pole, and Temyrivka.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Hulyaipil direction.
In Orikhivske – the enemy made an unsuccessful attempt to advance towards the settlement of Novoandreyevka.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy made four futile attempts to approach our positions.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
Our soldiers inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and actively undermine the enemy’s offensive potential in the rear.
In total , the losses of the Russian invaders last day amounted to 940 people . Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized two tanks, five armored combat vehicles, 43 artillery systems, a multiple launch rocket system, 157 unmanned aerial vehicles of the operational-tactical level, and 116 units of automotive equipment of the invaders.
