Defense forces repelled 201 Russian attacks: where the fiercest fighting took place

Over the past 24 hours, 201 combat clashes have taken place on the front. Russian troops massively attacked positions of the Defense Forces and settlements, using aviation, drones, and artillery. Most of the fighting was recorded in the eastern directions.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 a.m. on March 20.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 92 air strikes, dropping 257 guided bombs. In addition, it used 8,273 kamikaze drones to strike and carried out 3,844 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, including 96 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular in the areas of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region: Ivanivka, Prosyana, Kolomiyka, Pysantsy, Oleksandrivka; in the Zaporizhia region: Hulyaipilske, Kopany, Tersyanka, Myrne, Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvizhivka, Yehorivka, Veselyanka, Malokaterynivka, Yurkivka, Stepnohirske.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery have struck seven areas of concentration of manpower and equipment and another important enemy target.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, the enemy carried out 115 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including 14 using MLRS. It carried out 6 airstrikes using 20 CABs. Two clashes were recorded during the day.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy tried 19 times to break through the defensive lines of our defenders towards the settlements of Prylipka, Lyman, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Tykhye, Bochkovo, Okhrimivka, Zybyne, Chuhunivka, Figolivka, Krasne Pershe.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked 11 times in the direction of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Novoplatonivka, Borivska Andriivka, and Kupyansk.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 18 times, trying to wedge into our defenses, attacking in the direction of Hrekivka, Nadiya, Novomykhailivka, Novosergiivka, Olhivka, Seredny, Drobyshevy, Zarechny, Lyman, Dibrova, Tverdokhlibovo, and the settlement of Koroviy Yar.

In the Slavyansk direction, during the past 24 hours, our defenders stopped 12 attempts by the occupiers to advance towards Dibrova, Zakitne, Riznykivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Platonovka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy twice tried to improve its position, storming in the Malynivka area and towards Kostyantynivka.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 25 attacks towards the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, Novopavlivka, and Stepanivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 30 assault actions of the aggressor towards the settlements of Novy Donbas, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Bilytske, Sukhetske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked nine times in the direction of Sichneve, Sosnivka, Krasnohirske, and Zlagoda.

In the Hulyaipil direction, there were 12 attacks by the invaders towards the settlements of Zelene, Zaliznychne, Dobropillya, Myrne, in the areas of Solodky and Olenokostyantynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy tried to improve its position by attacking towards Stepovoye.

The enemy did not conduct any assault operations in the Dnieper direction.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
