Defense forces repelled 206 attacks by the invaders in a day: which directions are the hottest?

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 8 a.m. on April 20, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.

In total , 206 combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours. Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck four areas of concentration of occupier personnel.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 71 air strikes, dropped 253 guided bombs. In addition, it used 7,767 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,916 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, including 85 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivka, Havrylivka, Velykymykhaylivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Vozdvyzhenska, Hulyaipilske, Lyubytske, Mykilske, Dolynka, Charivne, Kopany in the Zaporizhia region.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, the enemy carried out two air strikes, using seven guided bombs, and carried out 100 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements, including five using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units ten times in the areas of the settlements of Synelnykovo, Prylipka, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vilcha, and in the direction of Bochkovo.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped ten enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kurylivka, Kolisnykivka, Kivsharivka, Borivska Andriivka, and Radkivka.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance near the settlements of Karmazynivka, Hrekivka, Drobysheve, Lyman and towards the settlements of Shyykivka and Tverdokhlibovo.

In the Slavyansk direction, during the past 24 hours, our defenders stopped four attempts by the occupiers to advance in the Rai-Oleksandrivka area.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy twice attacked the positions of our defenders near the settlements of Holubivka and Nykyforivka.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 21 attacks near Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, Illinivka, Oleksandro-Shultynye, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 42 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Bilytske, Rodynske, Dorozhne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Zatyshok, Udachne, Muravka, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, Novopavlivka, Filiya in the direction of Novooleksandrivka, Vasylivka, Hannivka and Shevchenko.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked four times in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandrovgrad and Sichneve.

In the Hulyaipil direction, 33 attacks by the occupiers took place in the areas of the settlements of Varvarivka, Dobropillya, Zelene, Svyatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Pryluky, Olenokostyantynivka and in the direction of the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Hulyaipilske, and Hirke.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy twice tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Pavlivka and Shcherbaki.

In the Dnieper direction, Ukrainian units stopped five enemy attacks near Belogruy Island and the Antoniv Bridge.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.

It is worth adding that in total , the losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1,050 people . The enemy also lost two tanks, two armored combat vehicles, 72 artillery systems, one air defense system, 1,427 unmanned aerial vehicles, 174 vehicles and one unit of special equipment.
