Defense forces repelled 219 attacks by the invaders in a day: which directions are the hottest?

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 8 a.m. on January 12, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total , 219 combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours. Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck seven areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and one enemy UAV control point.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 53 air strikes, dropped 151 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 2,941 shelling, including 111 from multiple rocket launcher systems, and engaged 5,273 kamikaze drones to destroy them.
Air strikes were carried out, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Havrylivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Mala Tokmachka, Vozdvizhivka, Rizdvyanka, Verkhnia Tersa, and Orikhiv in the Zaporizhia region.
In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, the enemy carried out 100 attacks, including five from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 16 times in the areas of the settlements of Prylipka, Dvorichanske, Dovhenke, Starytsia, Kruhle, Chuhunivka, Kutkivka and towards the settlements of Grafske, Ternova, Lyman, Kolodyazne.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy made nine attempts to attack in the direction of Petropavlivka, Novoplatonivka, Kupyansk, and Boguslavka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 16 times, trying to penetrate our defenses in the area of the settlements of Hrekivka, Karpivka, Shandryholovove, Novoyehorivka, Zarichne, Yampil and towards the settlements of Lyman, Stavky, Drobysheve.
In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped three offensive actions of the invaders in the areas of Platonovka and Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, an enemy attack towards Stupochky was repelled last day.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 17 attacks near the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillya, Rusyn Yar and towards the settlements of Sofiivka and Berestok.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 46 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Sukhetske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya and towards Ivanivka, Hryshynye, Toretske and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy yesterday carried out 17 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Sichneve, Verbove, Rybne, Vyshneve, Zlagoda, Yehorivka and towards Ivanivka and Oleksiivka.
In the Hulyaipol direction, our defenders stopped 44 enemy attempts to advance in the areas of the settlements of Hulyaipol, Solodke and towards Dobropillya, Zeleny, Pryluky and Varvarivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attempted to conduct eight offensive operations in the areas of Stepnohirsk, Primorsk, and towards Lukyanivsk.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Dnieper direction.
No signs of the formation of offensive groups of the aggressor were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
Our soldiers inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and actively undermine the enemy’s offensive potential in the rear.
It is worth adding that the losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1,060 people . Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized seven armored combat vehicles, 21 artillery systems, one air defense system, 353 unmanned aerial vehicles, 98 vehicles and three units of special equipment of the invaders.
