Defense Forces Strengthen Defense: New Ukrainian Hunter Drones Appear at the Front

The Ukrainian military is receiving a new generation of domestic drones. The Ministry of Defense has already approved more than 80 modern drones with a fiber-optic control channel and more than 25 models of interceptors capable of destroying enemy reconnaissance and strike aircraft.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that all new drones are Ukrainian-made and were officially approved for operation during 2025. Among them are unmanned aircraft complexes with a fiber-optic control channel, which provides full protection against electronic warfare. This allows drone operators to continuously control the device and transmit video even in the most difficult conditions.

Special attention is paid to interceptor drones. They are already used in units of the Defense Forces and have proven effective in combating Russian reconnaissance and strike UAVs. Some of these models are designed as “hunters” for enemy kamikaze drones, which significantly reduces the risks to Ukrainian positions and civilians.

First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havrylyuk, emphasized that the state is directing more and more resources into the development and production of modern weapons of destruction, in particular new generation drones.

“Our task is to maximize the production of the most effective weapons in order to strengthen the Defense Forces at a critical moment,” he said.

Fiber-optic drones have already proven their versatility: they can have different designs, carry different types of combat loads, and strike targets at different depths of the front.

It is worth adding that mass production of such devices in Ukraine began in 2025, and this technology quickly became one of the key ones in the fight against Russian attacks.

It was previously reported that successful tests of the Ukrainian Flamingo missile have already taken place, and its mass production is set to begin early next year .
