Defense forces struck Russian military targets in Crimea and the occupied territories.
On the night of August 16, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked a number of Russian military installations in the temporarily occupied territories.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
In temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukrainian military forces struck a Russian missile unit’s concentration area near the village of Rezervnoye.
The Ukrainian Navy clarified that the attack targeted the launch sites and deployment sites of the Bastion coastal defense missile system. Russian forces use these systems to launch Onyx and Zircon missiles against Ukrainian territory.
In the occupied part of the Zaporizhia region, the Defense Forces attacked a railway bridge near Svitlodolynske. According to the General Staff, Russian troops were using it for military logistics and personnel movements.
In addition, Ukrainian military personnel destroyed warehouses of Russian troops’ supplies and ammunition in Karlovka, Donetsk region.
The General Staff noted that information about the consequences of the defeat is being clarified.
As a reminder, on the night of August 16, fires broke out at two major logistics facilities in the Moscow region of Russia. One of them was the largest warehouse of the Russian marketplace Wildberries, with an area of over 200,000 square meters.
