Defense industry plant catches fire in Novosibirsk, Russia: first details
On Wednesday, October 8, a large-scale fire broke out in the Russian city of Novosibirsk at the “Solder Plant”, which works for the Russian defense industry.
This was reported by Russian Telegram channels.
According to local residents, as a result of the fire, the city was covered in thick smoke, which is visible from different parts of Novosibirsk.
Rescuers arrived at the scene. More than 70 people and 23 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire, and a rescue train was also called.
The fire was later contained to an area of 2,000 sq m. The roof collapsed there. Initially, there were no injuries.
It is worth noting that the company manufactures electronics and microcircuits used in the Russian army.
Previously, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck several important enemy targets in the territory of the Russian Federation and temporarily occupied Crimea, including an oil terminal, an ammunition depot, and an explosives manufacturing plant.
