The situation in the Pokrovskaya agglomeration as of 8:00 p.m. on December 8 remains tense.

This was reported by the 7th Corps of the State Security Service.

The most difficult situation is in the Myrnograd area, where units of the 7th Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold their positions and carry out combat missions.

Russia is actively shelling the city with guided aerial bombs. Over the past week, the enemy has dropped 21 KABs on Myrnograd. At the same time, the occupiers are trying to break through to the southeastern outskirts of the city and gain a foothold there. The defense forces are stopping the assaults and destroying enemy groups by all available means.

In a day, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 17 Russians. Another enemy infantryman was captured – he surrendered without resistance while trying to find food.

The command decided to conduct an organized maneuver in the area of Lysivka and Sukhoi Yar. The military moved personnel to more advantageous positions in order to save the lives of soldiers, improve logistics, and level the front line.

Due to security risks, the maneuver was not announced for a while so as not to disrupt its execution.

It was previously reported that Russian occupation forces need reinforcements to fight for the cities of Pokrovsk and Myrnograd in the Donetsk region.

As a reminder, the Defense Forces of Ukraine are conducting search and assault operations and eliminating Russian occupiers in the urban development of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
